The Wingdale Community Singers are David Grubbs (who played in Gastr del Sol, the Red Krayola, Bastro, and Squirrel Bait and has appeared on records by Will Oldham, Matmos, Tony Conrad, the Dirty Three, and Royal Trux), Hannah Marcus (who's most recent record Desert Farmers was recorded with members of the band Godspeed You Black Emperor!), and Rick Moody (bestselling author of the novels Purple America and the Ice Storm). Together these three Brooklynites grow an organic album that speaks mostly about urban things - rats feature in a number of the compositions, for some reason, as does bike repair, duct tape, the dyed daisies of NYC flower stalls and transvestites. Very easy to purchase this special copy of Rolling Stone magazine.
I bought it for the BTS interview and pictures and I am not disappointed! The interviews with each member are thoughtful and good. I only wish I could purchase the special edition 8 magazine set.
Haven't watched it yet; I buy LOTS of movies, and it can be weeks, even months, before I get to this one. I like the main actress, having seen her in 2 other films, and was glad to see she's also in one of the other 2 films I ordered from you. All 3 arrived in EXCELLENT condition!!
