Originally released in 1970 on the short lived Upfront Records label, the album "Mellow Blues" features the talents of legendary tenor saxophonist Willis "Gator Tail" Jackson, the famed musician who led wife Ruth Brown's band for years, was featured on countless recordings, and helped to propel the careers of guitarist Pat Martino and organist Jack McDuff. What makes this album even more appealing is the extraordinary back-up band which includes George Benson on guitar and the legendary Dave "Baby" Cortez on organ. Finally available in the digital domain, all tracks have been newly remastered.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
