Danny Wilde grew up immersed in California's West Coast music scene, drawing inspiration from Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and the Everly Brothers. A guitarist from age eight, he honed his songwriting in Los Angeles bands before launching his career with cult power-pop favorites The Quick in the mid-1970s. In the early '80s, he formed Great Buildings, earning critical praise on Columbia Records, before embarking on a solo career that produced the two acclaimed albums here - Any Man's Hunger + Danny Wilde, including the film-featured track "Time Runs Wild." In 1989, Wilde reunited with Phil Solem to form The Rembrandts, whose international hit "Just the Way It Is, Baby" marked the commercial high point of his career.
