Whatcha Gonna Do (Blk) (Fra) [LP] Vinyl Record

Whatcha Gonna Do? by Peter Green returns to vinyl-a smooth and soulful album that reveals a different, more introspective side of the legendary guitarist. Released in 1981, this collection marks a departure from the raw blues that defined his early years with Fleetwood Mac, offering instead a blend of soft rock, mellow funk, and heartfelt balladry, all delivered with Green's unmistakable tone and emotional honesty. Featuring tracks like "Gotta See Her Tonight," "Promised Land," and the haunting "Last Train to San Antone," the album showcases Green's gift for melody and feel, rather than technical flash. From the soulful groove of "Give Me Back My Freedom" to the tender melancholy of "To Break Your Heart," each song is steeped in mature reflection and understated craftsmanship. The catchy "Bizzy Lizzy" and the playful "Like a Hot Tomato" bring warmth and charm, while "Head Against the Wall" closes the album with a quiet sense of resolve. This vinyl reissue invites a fresh listen to one of Peter Green's most underrated works-a late-career gem that blends experience, vulnerability, and soul. Essential for collectors and fans of British blues, Whatcha Gonna Do? is a reminder that brilliance can also whisper.
