With enormous orchestral forces and dramatic use of leitmotiv themes the music portrays the full gamut of emotions and provides a perfect vehicle to display the heights of the Hallé's powers under Elder. This production was recorded at the Bridgewater Hall, capturing all the drama of the acclaimed live performance.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
