THE VENTURES are the most successful and influential instrumental group of all time, with worldwide record sales in excess of 110 million. The late 50s/early 60s were the "Golden Era" for R&R instrumentals, and as the first guitar-driven instrumental group their influence was immeasurable, providing the template for The Shadows and just about every other group who followed. This unique compilation comprises their entire 1962 recorded output, featuring five LPs - Twist With The Ventures; The Ventures' Twist Party Vol. 2; Mashed Potatoes And Gravy; Going To The Ventures' Dance Party; The Ventures Play Telstar And The Lonely Bull - and a pair of non-album singles. Also includes a rare radio promo spot for their Twist Party Vol. 2 LP. They still enjoy enormous international popularity, notably in Japan & the Far East, where they continue to tour and record.
