This September, 1957 Mode recording is one of the few un-released Mode sessions that survive. It showcases five great pianists - Carl Perkins, Jimmy Rowles, Lou Levy, Paul Smith and Gerald Wiggins performing four solo piano performances each of well-known and not-so-well-known standards. Each pianist tries to outdo himself and his fellow performers on Radio Recorders' Steinway. Among the last and best sessions recorded for Mode, the CD includes four tracks not included on the original LP.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
