Director/co-writer Robert Pirosh (an Oscar winner for Battleground) puts the stars and movie fans through Indiana Jones-like perils (scored by the masterful Miklos Rozsa) a blinding sandstorm, a menacing veiled swordsman, fisticuffs on the jagged edges of a towering tomb to reach the fabled valley and the long-hidden vaults where answers lie.
