TRADITIONS & TRANSFORMATIONS: SOUNDS OF SILK ROAD the fourth recording from it's in-house Chicago Symphony Orchestra label Resound. Recorded live during concerts celebrating the yearlong, citywide Silk Road Chicago project in April and May 2007, this CD features the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, the Silk Road Ensemble and Wu Man, under direction of Miguel Harth-Bedoya and Alan Gilbert. The disc is a companion to NEW IMPOSSIBILITIES collection of Silk Road Chicago performances by Mr. Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble with the CSO, released in July 2007 on Sony Classical.
