A member of the Oklahoma jazz Hall of Fame, blues guitarist and vocalist Tony Mathews has been one of the West Coast's finest studio musicians for over 40 years and has recorded and toured with Ray Charles, Little Richard, Billy Preston and Little Johnnie Taylor, to name a few. Presented here is a rare solo album Tony made in 1989 with the iconic eccentric genius known as Swamp Dogg who produced, arranged and wrote most of the album. A true labor of love for Swamp Dogg who has used Mathews on many of his own recordings over the years and his productions for other artists, the album is indeed a lost soul-funk-blues masterpiece, finally available in the digital domain. All selections have been newly remastered.
