American folk and blues singer and songwriter, Tom Rush was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States and began performing in 1961 while studying at Harvard University. Many of his early recordings are versions of Lowland Scots and Appalachian folk songs. He regularly performed at the Club 47 coffeehouse (now called Club Passim) in Cambridge, The Main Point in Pennsylvania and the Unicorn in Boston. Originally released on Lycornu, this is his extraordinary first album from way back in 1962 and, until now, long unavailable.
