TigerBalm - Nayar [12" Vinyl]

Three years after her acclaimed debut, International Love Affair, London-based DJ and producer Rose Robinson, aka Tigerbalm, returns to Ubiquity Records with new material from her upcoming sophomore album, Bubblegum Discos, set for release in spring 2026. Known for her vibrant fusion of disco and global sounds, Rose has continued to rise, earning recognition through EPs on Brooklyn’s Razor N Tape and remixes for 20:20 Vision’s Crazy P Curates series.

Her new single, “Nayar,” offers a taste of what’s to come. A collaboration with rising Italian electronic artist Giorgio Lopez, the track marks Rose’s first release of 2025 and features her debut as a vocalist. Blending squelchy bass, punchy drum machines, soaring synths, and melodic motifs, “Nayar” channels the playful energy of 1980s boogie and freestyle. Rose delivers rapid-fire, rhythmic verses, while Lopez provides catchy choruses, creating a sun-soaked dance anthem infused with reggaeton and Latin influences.

The EP includes a strong set of remixes curated by Rose herself. Elado (Big Baba, Razor N Tape, Barefoot Beats) transforms “Nayar” into a synth-driven, bouncy disco gem perfect for euphoric dancefloor moments. Bernardo Pinheiro, another Barefoot Beats regular, blends Brazilian nu-disco with Latin house elements, emphasizing Lopez’s vocal charm and layering in a funky acid bassline.

Spanish producer Piek closes out the release with a high-energy remix geared for peak-time sets. His version combines breakbeat accents, chunky house rhythms, and rave-inspired synths to amplify the track’s festival and club appeal. Together, the original and its remixes highlight Tigerbalm’s evolution as a producer and her knack for uniting diverse global sounds with dancefloor sensibilities. Bubblegum Discos promises to be a bold, vibrant continuation of the journey she began with her debut.
