Central Ohio-based guitarist Tim Cummiskey performs as both a leader and a sideman throughout the Midwest. He currently leads several groups ranging from solo jazz and classical guitar to group configurations including duos, the Tim Cummiskey Trio, and the Tim Cummiskey Quartet. As a sideman, he has performed and/or conducted clinics with John Abercrombie, Howard Alden, Carl Allen, Gene Bertoncini, Chris Buzzelli, Benny Golson, Tim Hagans, Ingrid Jensen, Hank Marr and Frank Vignola. Tim is also a contributing writer to Downbeat Magazine and Just Jazz Guitar Magazine. He is also a featured player in the May edition of 20th Century Guitar Magazine. This is his first CD as a leader on the String Jazz label, and it features bassist Chris Berg and drummer Jim Rupp.
