Formed in 1958 in New York City, The Del Satins recorded their debut single, "I'll Pray for You" in 1961 and shortly after joined forces with Dion DiMucci who wanted to replace his backing band, The Belmonts, with a rockier sound. The resulting single, "Runaround Sue" rose to the number one slot on the Billboard charts. Although they received no credit, they also sang on many of Dion's later hits such as "The Wanderer" and "Ruby Baby." After releasing a number of singles under their own name, they finally scored big with "Teardrops Follow Me" in 1962, cementing their stature in the doo-wop and early rock n' roll community. Presented here is a comprehensive collection of early Del-Satins singles released between 1961 through the mid 1960's. All selections have been newly remastered.
