The great composer/arranger/ trumpet legend Thad Jones' classic 1957 album, Mad Thad, is a vintage audiophile recording featuring a host of jazz greats. "Jumpin' for Jane," "Whisper Not" and "Mad Thad" feature Thad Jones (trumpet), Frank Foster (tenor sax), Jimmy Jones (piano), Doug Watkins (bass) and Jo Jones (drums). The remaining tracks feature Thad Jones (trumpet) Henry Coker (trombone) Frank Wess (tenor sax, flute) Tommy Flanagan (piano) Eddie Jones (bass) and Elvin Jones (drums). All selections newly remastered.
