His luck is combined with a self-determined will to understand, master, and then teach and describe to others, the music that he has learnt first hand from such legendary bluesmen as Skip James, Son House, Fred McDowell, Mississippi John Hurt, Bukka White, Mance Lipscomb and Rev. Gary Davis. This CD combines two albums of Country Blues that Stefan recorded in England in 1977 with his friend Jo Ann Kelly, Mike Cooper and Sam Mitchell. The music spans from Delta to Texas to Piedmont blues. And for guitarists this enhanced CD features a tab/music PDF folder that has all the arrangements transcribed.
