Sonny Landreth was born in Canton, Mississippi, and settled in Lafayette, Louisiana. Landreth is known as "The King Of Slydeco" and plays with a strong zydeco influence. Sweet swamp water music from the southern Louisiana bayou. His slide playing is like no other. In concert you'd swear there are two players. Bonamassa has lovingly called him a "freak of nature". Allen Toussaint plays the piano on the album and there's a guest appearance by Mark Knopfler (guitar and vocals) on 'Shooting At The Moon' and 'Creole Angel'. Sonny Landreth's music combines the best of Zydeco, New Orleans R&B, Cajun, and Rock & Roll into one mood-elevating experience.
