Six Feet Under – Graveyard Classics IV (LP Vinyl) Vinyl Record

The Graveyard Classics series has always been Six Feet Under's way of honoring the bands that helped shape heavy metal history-by dragging those legendary songs through the band's unmistakable swamp of crushing riffs and death-metal brutality. With Graveyard Classics IV: The Number of the Priest, Chris Barnes and company pay tribute to two of the most revered bands in metal history: Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.Originally released in 2016, this fan-favorite installment delivers a relentless collection of metal classics reimagined with Six Feet Under's signature groove-laden heaviness. The tracklist was personally selected by Metal Blade Records founder Brian Slagel, ensuring that the album focuses on some of the most essential and beloved songs from both legendary catalogs.Side A is devoted entirely to the mighty Judas Priest, featuring crushing death-metal takes on classics like "Night Crawler," "Starbreaker," "Genocide," "Invader," and "Never Satisfied." Flip the record over and Side B dives straight into the galloping power of Iron Maiden, including blistering versions of "Murders in the Rue Morgue," "Prowler," "Flash of the Blade," "The Evil That Men Do," "Stranger in a Strange Land," and the cult favorite "Total Eclipse."The result is a fascinating collision of styles-NWOBHM legends reborn through the grinding, downtuned intensity of modern death metal. Barnes' unmistakable vocal snarl combined with the band's thick, groove-driven guitars gives these classics a completely new level of aggression while still honoring the spirit of the originals. Now, ten years after it's original release, Graveyard Classics IV: The Number of the Priest receives it's first-ever worldwide retail vinyl pressing.
