Simple Harmonic Motion are a four-piece band playing original instrumental music in the new age/ contemporary classical genre. Line-up is keyboards, flute (Jonathan Beckitt), double bass (Steve Kershaw), electric guitar (Curtis E Johnson), and drums (Gerry O'Riordan), with occasional vocals (Emma Brown). Their music is an exciting blend of styles, drawing on a variety of influences, and is beautifully performed and arranged. When performed live the music is accompanied by specially commissioned large scale animations. The band will be performing music from the album including their exquisite arrangements of Bach/Gounod's "Ave Maria" and the "Sanctus" from Fauré's Requiem in The Netherlands and France during February 2020. They will also perform songs from their debut album - "Tone Poems" - which is based on their interpretation of poems by Keats and from their second album - "Interludes. "
