Friedrich Silcher (1789-1860) wrote song movements for more than 300 works and is thus still a household name especially for choir singers. During his lifetime he was not only considered a competent composer and arranger, but also an excellent music teacher. His arrangements of Christmas and Advent carols, with their pleasant simplicity, are also immediately accessible to the listener and develop an irresistible magic in a completely natural way. The Remigius Kammerchor Nagold under the direction of Anna-Katharina Kalmbach performs on this recording with young voices, which present themselves unaffected, but also technically well-founded.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
