One of the earliest folk vocal groups from the first big folk revival of the early 1960's, The Sherwood Singers consisted of Karen Gunderson, Robert Alan Parker and John Merritt. They were quite popular in Southern California for a brief period and even appeared in the 1963 cult film "The Young Swingers." the group broke up when Karen Gunderson left to join the widely popular New Christy Minstrels. Presented here is their classic debut album featuring "Westbound Train, " "Oh, Miss Mary" and Rod McKuen's "1, 2, 3." All selections newly remastered.
