Often musically associated with his nephew, Magic Sam, blues vocalist, songwriter and harp player Shakey Jake will forever be remembered as one of the premier architects of Chicago's West Side blues scene of the late 1950's and early 1960's. Presented here is the rare 45 RPM single, "Respect Me Baby" b/w "A Hard Road," originally recorded for the tiny "The Blues" label in Chicago in 1966 featuring Shakey Jake on vocals, Magic Sam on guitar, Mighty Joe Young on bass; Otis Spann on piano, Louis Meyers on harmonica and S.P.
