Famed primarily for his wildly theatrical performances and completely over the top vocal delivery, Screamin' Jay Hawkins was one of the most influential performers of early rock n' roll. His signature song, the 1956 hit "I Put a Spell on You," helped to shape rock n' roll and made Screamin' Jay the first "shock rocker." This vintage 1977 recording finds Hawkins revisiting his monumental hit and performing a varied selection of American pop classics and original compositions including "Africa Gone Funky". All selections newly remastered.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
