Say Anything - Is Committed [2LP] Vinyl Record

Is Committed is a delightfully chaotic deep dive into Max Bemis’ brilliant, unfiltered brain.

Released as a self-aware follow-up to the band’s earlier albums, this double LP is packed with drama, humor, heartache, and a whole lot of attitude. Sprawling across two records, it's an ambitious concept album that doesn’t shy away from its theatrical tendencies.

The record opens with the explosive Burn a Miracle, setting the tone for a collection that bounces between searing punk energy and introspective ballads. Say Anything’s signature blend of snarling wit and emotional vulnerability is in full force on tracks like Admit It Again and Overbiter, where Bemis skewers both himself and the world around him. There’s a self-deprecating honesty in the lyrics that’s matched by the band’s genre-hopping instrumentation.

This release also dives into meta storytelling, with characters and dialogue that make it feel part rock opera, part diary entry. Despite the chaotic presentation, there's an intentional thread running through the album that reflects Bemis’ struggle with identity, faith, and mental health.

Pressed on two LPs for a fuller analog sound, Is Committed is both a musical and emotional workout. It's messy, raw, and deeply personal – in other words, classic Say Anything.
