Brother and sister dance team Tom and Ellen Bowen (Fred Astaire and Jane Powell) are on their way to England when Ellen strikes up a shipboard romance with Lord John Brindale (Peter Lawford). Meanwhile, confirmed bachelor Tom grows smitten with dancer Anne Ashmond (Sarah Churchill). Will romance break up the act?
