Red Rodney was a veteran jazz trumpet player who played with Charlie Parker. Ira Sullivan who plays trumpet and sax, is also a jazz veteran. In 1981 they got together and recorded two great albums for the Elektra/Musician label, Spirit Within and Sprint. This fine quintet also features Garry Dial and Jay Anderson. Both of these albums are making their CD debuts.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
