QMS's first two groundbreaking albums for Capitol Records, dating from 1968 and 1969. Hailing from San Francisco, they created a large following and were quickly signed by Capitol. The first album spent 26 weeks on the US Top 100 Albums chart and the follow up, Happy Trails, spent 30 weeks there and produced the US Top 50 hit 'Who Do You Love'. The contrasting style of guitarists John Cipollina and Gary Duncan gave the band a niche sound. Over the years, Quicksilver endured many personnel changes and reunions, but it's fair to say that these two albums were their finest hour. Digitally remastered, slipcased and with new notes.
