Picking up the saxophone and flute for this record, Mayr contributes his deep passion for arranging. His writing is a cornerstone of the album’s identity: warm, four-part horn arrangements shaped by jazz and swing traditions, where the horn section leads. The arrangements are further elevated by Simon Kintopp’s trombone solos and Fabian Supancic’s gritty, bluesy organ.
