Gala wrote this song when she was drawing on a Buddhist concept that challenges the constant craving for more and encourages us to value our principles and our own freedom instead. She believed that 'Freed From Desire' could resonate with people all over the world. Arguably one of the biggest sporting songs of all time, it has become a unifying sensation across the world. The main mix was re-recorded in 2024 for a whole new generation, but was still very true to that original of '96, whilst on the flip Diplo showcased his trademark, energetic, thumping style. A huge club and radio hit. Originally reissued in 2024, this 2026 repress on red transparent vinyl is just in time for the World Cup final! The song has become an unofficial soccer/football anthem, with Switzerland using the song as a goal song during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
