Anacani Montoya, born in Sinaloa, was first discovered on the TV show "Las Estrella's y Usted." in 1973, she was discovered in the US by Lawrence Welk and has appeared on his television show for many years. In 1975 she made this excellent recording for Anahuac Records. Anahuac spared no expense to make these recordings. When first released it sold extremely well in Mexico and Anacani was treated as a visiting star. Accompanied by the great El Mariachi Cortez of Mexicali, with special arrangements by Lupe Cortez, this was an excellent recording of a very engaging and talented singer.
