"The Wall" is the band's 11th studio album and the last with the iconic lineup of David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason before Wright's departure.

A conceptual masterpiece, "The Wall" explores themes of abandonment and personal isolation through its rock opera format. The narrative follows Pink, a character inspired by Waters himself and the band's original leader, Syd Barrett. Conceived during the 1977 In the Flesh Tour, the album's story was born out of Waters' frustration with the audience, imagining a wall between himself and the fans.
