Inspired by the mid-1960's Latin brass explosion spearheaded by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, Pete Galladoro and his Latin Brass were part of a whole West Coast movement of bands capitalizing on the infectious Mexicali rhythm and brass sounds that seemed to dominate the airwaves at the time. Gallardo's outfit was better than most and his 1965 LP release, "Senor Swing!" has become a highly prized collector's item by fans of the genre. The classic album, which boasts interesting arrangements of popular tunes such as "Harlem Nocturne," "La Paloma" and "Caravan," is finally available in the digital domain. All selections newly remastered.
