Released in 1970 on Fantasy Records, Pendulum was Creedence Clearwater Revival’s sixth studio album and the last to feature the full original lineup, including rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty. Self-produced by the band, the album showcased a more expansive sound, with layered keyboards, horns, and studio experimentation. The moody cover art—featuring a shadowy photo of the band outside their San Francisco rehearsal space—mirrors the introspective tone within. Featuring standout tracks like “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?” and “Hey Tonight,” Pendulum captures a band pushing its creative boundaries at the height of its powers.
