In the early 70's, way down south in Miami, Cuban immigrants and their families, assimilated the funk and rock sounds of American music and soon arrived at their own versions of it. Two of the most popular bands in the Latin-Funk Rock scene were Pearly Queen and Wild Wind. Until now, music from these two bands has only been available on 7" and 12" vinyl through collectors markets. Both bands used to perform in battle-of-the bands scenarios, now on this compilation both bands can be heard as they were nearly 30 years ago, back to back spurring each other on.
