Chicago tenor sax jazz legend Paul Bascomb recorded the rare sides presented here in Chicago in July of 1955. The tracks were originally intended for a full length album that was never released. Paul is joined on these sessions by his wife, vocalist Gloria Valdez, and a doo-wop group called the Five Arrows who were imported from New York for the session. Only four of the tunes were released in September of 1955, represented here by tracks 4 through 7 on this release. The Five Arrows are featured on "Pretty Little Thing" and the remaining tracks were only identified as Paul Bascomb and his orchestra consisting of trumpet, Bascomb's tenor sax, organ, bass, drums, and bongos. Paul's wife, Gloria Valdez, is featured on "You've Got Me Losing My Mind." All selections newly re-mastered.
