The disciples of downer rock Parish have returned with a new 7" single, Queen of the Skies b/w Sisters of the Light. On this release, their first since their 2022 self-titled debut, Parish explore humankind's relationship with the sun over the course of two heliolatrous hard rock hymns. Queen of the Skies sees the trio channel Humble Pie, Free and perpetual favourites Budgie in celebrating our brightest star's life-giving properties. On the B side, the singer-songwriters of Laurel Canyon, Bob Welch-era Fleetwood Mac and Thin Lizzy serve as inspiration for Sisters of the Light - a look at the darker side of sun worship. Recorded by Stanley "Grave" Gravett at Holy Mountain. Mixed by Misha Hering at Holy Mountain. Mastered Brad Boatright at AudioSiege. Artwork by Tom Hobb. Parish are James Paulley (vocals and guitar), Joe Bulmer (drums), and Tommy Hughes (bass). Genre: Rock / Heavy Metal
