Bach and his contemporaries.Organist Matthew Owens continues his major exploration of the many extantorgan works of Pachelbel with this third volume, recorded on the Flentroporgan of Dunblane Cathedral, Scotland. This album explores Johann Pachelbel's improvisational techniques and compositions, highlighting his use of variation, counterpoint, and chorale preludes. It features preludes, fugues, ricercars, and variations that showcase his mastery and educational methods.
