A new type of fusion/crossover or real genius maybe both in this disc from Nashville band Otto, headed up by the very well known Jim Hoke. Hoke's pedal steel is matched with vibes, flute and cello to produce a fabulous sound with echoes of classical, country and soft jazz. Tracks come from French impressionist composers (Fauré, Satie, Milhaud), Frank Zappa and Brian Wilson together with a smattering of Hoke's own cuts.
