Steel guitar pioneer Noel Boggs appeared on over 2,000 recordings as a soloist and with the biggest stars of western swing and country & western music including Bob Wills, Spade Cooley, Jimmy Wakely, Hank Penny, Bill Boyd, Sheb Wooley, Les Anderson, Merle Travis, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and the Sons of the Pioneers to name a few - and helped design the double-neck steel guitar that has become the standard of the industry. Presented here is Bogg's fronting his own quintet on the rare 1960 album he recorded for his pal Jimmy Wakely's Shasta label. All selections newly remastered.
