Jencik began these songs in solitude, tracking vocals to four-track cassette in his basement—initially a personal exploration of vulnerability and attachment. When Johnston joined the project, her ethereal voice and deep grasp of minimalism gave shape to the sorrow and solace embedded in the music. Together, they craft ambient dirges and soft psalms that refuse to flinch in the face of death, instead leaning in with tenderness and clarity.
