That said, credit Nathalie Archangel with doing the latter on her exceptional new album Patsy on the Porch, a daring and distinctive re-imagining of Patsy Cline's indelible sound that's interpreted in such a way as to fully reflect her own distinctive style. Of course, given her earlier accomplishments - including her critically acclaimed albums for MCA and Columbia Records, her double platinum award for her contributions to Bette Midler's best-selling Some People's Lives album, and the distinctive duets that included the likes of superstars Frankie Valli and Howard Jones on her sophomore album Owl - it ought to come as little surprise.
