Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, soul singer Nat McCoy moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960's to better his songwriting career. Presented here is his rare solo album simply titled "Soul" which was originally released in 1978 and has since become a valued collector's item in soul music circles. The album boasts all original compositions and features a crack Los Angeles band including blues guitar great Junior Watson, Bill Stuve on bass, Honey Alexander on piano, John Hoke on drums, George Smith on harmonica, Mark Adler on keyboards, and a complete horn and string section. All selections newly remastered.
