30 years after the death of leader and vocalist Akemi Edo, here finally is the first batch of JAGATARA’s vinyl reissue series. This is their debut album, originally released under the name Ankokutairiku Jagatara in 1982 on the band’s own Ugly Orphans label. The band was noted at the time for the powerful fusion of punk and Afro-funk sensibilities.
