Recorded by Stuart Leigh in Punduru, Sierra Leone in 1978, this intimate album is the result of an invitation into the home of Paramount Chief Tortor of Jaiama Nimiyema Chiefdom, Sewafe for the celebration of the Chief's returning son. The dynamic songs tell of daily life, politics and religion through singing chants and rhythmic drums. Liner notes include detailed information on the Mende and the songs. Lyrics and some notation included.

I bought it for the BTS interview and pictures and I am not disappointed! The interviews with each member are thoughtful and good. I only wish I could purchase the special edition 8 magazine set.
Haven't watched it yet; I buy LOTS of movies, and it can be weeks, even months, before I get to this one. I like the main actress, having seen her in 2 other films, and was glad to see she's also in one of the other 2 films I ordered from you. All 3 arrived in EXCELLENT condition!!
