One of the greatest Jazz guitarists of all time, Mississippian Mundell Lowe played country music and Dixieland jazz in the 1930's and later played in big bands and eventually on the recordings of some of the biggest names in jazz including Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, Sarah Vaughan, Benny Carter and others too numerous to mention. Presented here is Lowe's rare solo album in a trio setting, originally released in the mid-1970's. Backing Mundell's guitar is Nick Ceroli (drums) and Monty Budwig (bass).
