Mel Tillis made his way to Nashville in '57, where he became known as a prolific songwriter as well as a gifted singer. Mel released several records in the '60s and had songs on the best-seller charts. This album features Mel's first #1 country hit, "I Ain't Never" (1972), as well as many of his early '80s country hits including the #1 "Southern Rains," "Your Body Is An Outlaw," "Lying Time Again," "Blind in Love" and his 1981 duet with Nancy Sinatra, "Texas Cowboy Night."
