For their second LP, Walls Covered In Mildew, Mechanical Canine has settled into a lineup that they can thrive in, firing off a gnarled up brew of psych, punk and power pop. Chippy synths and electronic drums set the tone for the uptempo indie punk of "Go Kick Rocks!" or the bodacious psych punk of "Chuzz-wuzzers".Thematically, Walls Covered in Mildew barrels past introspection into hypochondriac anxiety and morbid self-deprecation, all handled with a healthy degree of snark.
