The 60s bands final two albums (from 1968 and 1969) are combined on a single CD and digitally remastered for this special edition release. The group moved to Mercury Records in order to present a harder rock oriented sound. Band members Rick Derringer and Randy Jo Hobbs would later join up with Johnny Winter for his second studio and first live albums.
