2015 release by Portland's #3 Best New Band (according to the Willamette Week). Máscaras' Theo Craig, Papi Fimbres and Carlos Segovia are three of the most prolific musicians in Portland, between them having played in some of the city's most legendary bands over the years, including Sun Angle, Deer or the Doe, O Bruxo, Cat Hoch, Paper/Upper/Cuts, Orquestra Pacifico Tropical, and literally dozens more. Now united as Máscaras, the three churn out a heavy, instrumental psychedelic stew they call "maximalist indigenous psych". Their debut album, Máscara vs. Máscara is an urgent & riotous document of a band that Portland has latched onto.
