An ultra-rare single, originally released in 1957 on the New York based Safari Records, from a gifted singer with a charismatic voice, Louise Manning's "Did You Ever" b/w "Teach Me To Love You"- which features a heartbreaking ballad on the A side and a up-tempo rocker on the flip, benefits greatly from some very creative arrangements from Teacho Wiltshire, the highly regarded pianist, arranger and conductor who worked with such iconic artists as Wilson Pickett, The Drifters, Solomon Burke, Gene Pitney, The Jive Five, King Pleasure and countless others. The A side, an achingly poignant ballad that Manning artfully handles, contrasts starkly with the lively B side, which contains backing vocal arrangements coupled with some tastefully added steel guitar.
